USGA Rules

**USGA rules of golf must govern play**

Some local rules are needed and accepted to promote good and sound golf practices and policies.  Rules and regulations for conduct are posted on signs near the first tee, on our website and on the scorecards.  Below is a list of common etiquette and rules applicable to both Huntington and Querbes Park.

  1. Replace divots in fairways and ball marks on greens
  2. Keep pace with the group in front
  3. Golfers making the turn that decide to eat will lose their position on the golf course
  4. Five-somes are permitted provide they keep up with pace of play
  5. Golf carts are restricted to the cart path on par 3’s
  6. Only 2 riders per cart, 2 carts per four-some and only 3 carts per five-some
  7. Every player must have their own bag & clubs to play or must rent from the Pro Shop
  8. Range balls are restricted to the practice area.  Players who use range balls on the course will be suspended and forfeit any fees paid.

PACE of PLAY

  • The pace of play at Querbes Park Golf Course is 3 hours and 45 minutes for 18 holes and 1 hour and 50 minutes for 9 holes.  The pace of play at Huntington Park is 4 hours and 5 minutes or 2 hours for 9 holes.  Wave faster groups through only when the golf course is not busy.  If the golf course is busy, groups need to maintain their position with the group in front.  The staff will govern the speed of play.

DRESS CODE

  • Collared shirts are strongly recommended.
  • No tank tops or cut-off shorts
  • Women’s top guidelines include:  if it doesn’t have a collar it must have sleeves and if the shirt does not have sleeves it must have a collar.
  • Only spike-less golf shoes or tennis shoes will be permitted on the course.  No boots allowed.
  • Shirt and shoes must be worn at all times while on premises.
  • Appropriate golf attire encouraged

ADDITIONAL RULES & LOCAL RULES

  • During busy times, the Staff will assign foursomes at his/her discretion
  • Children under the age of 3 are not permitted on the course.  No strollers or baby carriers.
  • Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult
  • Golf carts are for the exclusive use of registered and licensed golfers.  
  • Spectators are discouraged and will be charged a fee.  Our golf parks are for golf.
  • Golf carts must remain 60 feet away from greens at all times and must remain on the cart path around all tee boxes.
  • Pets are not allowed.  *Exception:  Service animals are permitted.
  • The staff may remove a golfer or group for obnoxious and offensive behavior; gross intoxication; abusing or damaging the course or property; hitting into golfers playing ahead or other unsafe golfing practices; refusal to let faster groups play through.  Golfers who are removed from the course will forfeit any fees paid.
  • NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL or food is allowed on the course.  THIS IS A CITY ORDINANCE
  • Firearms and medical marijuana are NOT permitted at any city park including Querbes and Huntington.
